3. I've been in the business for 22 years. The business can destroy you mentally and physically IF you're not prepared! It looks so glamorous and easy on the surface; the fact is that you will work a crazy amount of hours each week, you have to be "thick-skinned" (you'll be told "no" a lot), you'll starve to death your first 5 years, and you have to have a tremendous amount of self-discipline! To be 100% honest, the most successful advisers that I've been around in our industry tend to be "workaholics"…they live, breathe and eat the business at all times! I don't mean to be all negative…just giving you the facts! It's an awesome business/career if you can survive…unfortunately, most don't.
